Our CLINIC
A Few Words
About Our Clinic
Cheers Dental Care has been proudly serving the public since 1988 and became incorporated in 2003. Throughout the years, we have been committed to improving our standards, and dedicated to providing our patients with high quality, compassionate dental care. We are a multidisciplinary clinic, our staff expertise covers most fields in general and specialist dentistry.
We focus on providing our patients with continuous, high quality and evidence based dentistry, and do so by keeping up to date with developments in dental technology as well as research. We are also proud to say that we were the first paperless dental office in Hong Kong since 1992. All of our patients’ records, x-rays, photos are digital and can be found at our fingertips – less paper waste!
At Cheers we care about our patients’ overall wellbeing as well as their oral health. We believe in more than just “fixing” your teeth or dental disease and as such, we offer a holistic approach to health with oral health as the primary indicator. Oral health and overall health are actually closely linked. Some examples of how overall health and oral health are connected are as follows:
- Stress can lead to stress induced grinding or temporomandibular disorders (jaw joint pain)
- Malocclusion (improper bite) can lead to difficulties breathing during sleep (apnea),
- Certain oral habits can affect your speech and how your teeth are aligned,
- Malalignment of teeth can lead to a lower self esteem
- A lack of teeth can affect chewing which in turn can cause food indigestion
- There is a bi-directional relationship between diabetes and gum disease
- An association between gum disease with heart disease and alzheimer’s exists
- Smoking can result in many different dental problems such as gum disease
The above are just a few ways that overall health and oral health appear to have a connection. We aim to treat more than your dental disease and want to improve your overall health, hence our motto, “healthy teeth – healthy life”.
Our clinic is also dedicated to improving the lives of our patients, and also our community. We have participated in outreach voluntary dental services as a team since 2012. At Cheers we have several doctors – Dr Annie Au, Dr Cindy Pho and Dr Kimberlee Onsiong – who are are enrolled under the Elderly Health Care Voucher Scheme as healthcare service providers. Health Care Vouchers can be used when receiving treatment from any one of these dentists. Please contact us for more information.

One of our goals for Cheers Dental Care is to provide patients with a cheerful and pleasant dental experience. Our clinic has a bright and welcoming waiting room, and is designed to keep all of our patients happily entertained while they wait. In addition to this, our surgery rooms have ipads to provide our patients with a distraction and entertainment during their check up.
Equipment
Our clinic is equipped with state of the art equipment which permits us to provide the highest quality care and improve your oral health and smile. Our x-rays are completely digital, which allows us to be more environmentally friendly and also reduce our patient’s exposure to radiation. Our clinic has advanced 3D imaging available for diagnosis, if more complex treatments are required. We also have a digital intra-oral scanner which allows us to render a 3D model of your teeth with maximum patient comfort. In addition to this, we also provide “laser treatment”, for conservative dentistry and a whole range of procedures. Dentistry is constantly progressing and advancing, and we are committed to staying up to date with the most recent technology to provide our patients with the highest quality care.
Sedation and Surgery
Some paediatric or special care patients may require treatment to be performed under sedation. We have all the equipment available in our clinic to allow patients to undergo sedation. Our clinic also has multiple rooms that can be used for dental surgery as well as a place where patients can recover after sedation has been performed.
